U.S. Businesses For Sale

The sites that populate this page contain links that list available businesses for sale across the United States. The purpose is to have a central location to search for any given business in any given area of the country. The ratings system contained in this page is strictly my opinion and not that of Dr. Weaver.

Here is a description of my system of rating and some of the decision criteria:

Average -This type of site will contain fairly relevant data and minimum business listings. It will sometimes be under construction or in its forming stage. In this case, a higher rating may be warranted at a later date.

Good - This type of site offers various opportunities in different sectors. Sometimes these sites are set up properly but are just not very populated with new listings. The site could be too focused on one region or business type.

Excellent - To attain this rating, the site must be extremely useful and current. These sites will have searchable criteria and a wide variety of listings. They also allow the user to dictate things like location, price range, and business type.

Biz-Buy Sell Yes / Free Over 7,000 Excellent This site offers businesses for sale in all areas of the United States. It has a search query that allows various search criteria to be entered to search for a particular type of business to acquire. Location data can also be entered.

C.I.I

Yes / Free Over 2,000 in Florida Excellent CII is the leading Business Broker and Merger ? Acquisition firm in Florida. The site offers a concentration of businesses for sale in Florida. The business opportunities are segregated by category and by price.

USA BIZ Yes / Free Not Listed Good This link displays businesses for sale in the US and also aids in the sale of a business. You can post a business wanted ad if you'd like. It also offers a wide range of services.

BIZ-MLS

Yes / Free Not Listed Excellent The site caters to Florida and Georgia based businesses for sale. However, it does have the ability to search for companies for sale across the US. Site offers criteria to narrow search in Florida and is extremely useful.

House Home Net

Yes / Free Limited Good This site offers both commercial and non-commercial property for sale by state. It is not extremely populated but does offer some interesting opportunities including web-based businesses for sale.

Business Broker

Yes / Free Over 100 Average Offers business for sale by location. This site is somewhat abrupt and appears to be under construction still. Even though there are not many listings, this site is still very useful.

Merger Network

Yes / Free Over 4000 Worldwide Excellent Offers business for sale across various parts of the US. The site has a quick search database for entering search parameters. It also contains informative articles on new business operations and developments.

Commerce Team

No / Free Less than 100 Average Site contains information on advertising your business for sale. Also lists a few businesses for sale among a handful of US states. This site is obviously in its early growth stage. It offers other helpful links as well.

Biz Guide

Yes / Free Not Listed Excellent Site is directed to businesses for sale in the Mid-Atlantic region. It categorizes them by business type and gives points-of-contact data for further details.

Pro-1 Business

Yes / Free Not Listed Average Offers pricing information and a toll-free hotline. This site is a quick reference to available businesses with minimum details.

FBBA

Yes / Free Over 2000 in Florida Excellent Florida dedicated site. Site displays a map of Florida that has point and click capabilities. A set of criteria can be entered for searching.

GABB Yes / Free Over 75 Good Site is dedicated to Georgia businesses for sale. Offers reference numbers and contact info.

Florida-Biz Net

Yes / Free Over 25 Good Great site for the local enthusiast. It offers Central East Coast businesses for sale, as well as e-mail links to the brokers.

Ms webmasters

Yes / Free Over 25 Excellent Extensive database that offers multiple services. It has the ability to search for both commercial and non-commercial properties and has photographs.

Eureka

Yes / Free Over 25 Good Offers various businesses for sale by city across the US. Site offers updates on the status of properties (i.e. sold or active).
