About the Testing Lab

The UCF College of Business Administration Testing lab is a fully secured facility in which business professors can allow students the flexibility to take exams on their schedules. Each exam will have a beginning and end time listed on the Testing Lab Schedule. A student can arrive any time in between but must be finished by both the ending exam time and/or when the lab closes for the night.

The lab will be closed for all home football games and campus holidays. Requests for sessions outside of normal business hours will be scheduled on a case by case basis by the Lab Manager. When approved, these sessions will be open to all courses.

Visitor Use

The Testing Lab is not an open university computer lab. Any organizations or individuals outside of the UCF College of Business Administration must seek permission from the Dean's Office at least two weeks prior to the event, including tours and photography.

Lab Configuration

Computers in the Testing Lab are configured with the minimal software required for testing only. No printers, multimedia or copy machines are available in the Testing Lab.

Lost and Found Items

The Testing Lab is not responsible for lost personal items or data. Any personal items found by the staff will be placed at the front desk of the lab and they will be turned into the main lost and found (BA-1, room 230) at the end of the week. It is recommended that students do not bring valuables into the Testing Lab.

Lab Assistants

TRC undergraduate student assistants are responsible for providing physical security for the equipment in the lab, and they provide help with student check-in/out.

Proctors

One or more trained Lab proctors will be present throughout a scheduled testing period. Proctors will move around the room during an exam to monitor student progress, to ensure that no unauthorized materials are present, to make certain that lab equipment is not moved or removed, such as monitor screen protectors/filters, and to answer basic WebCourses log-in questions. All other proctor tasks will be given per manager discretion, including computer usage.
