Introduction to Federal Government Procurement-Where Do I Start?

This seminar will provide an in-depth examination of the federal government procurement process. Topics include the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), acquisition principles, definitions, ethics, contract clauses, procurement methods, contract types, socio-economic programs and marketing.

GSA and Multiple Award Schedules

Learn about the General Services Administration (GSA), who they are and how they buy. This session will define Federal Supply and Multiple Award Schedules and will assist with determining if a schedule is right for you, how to submit an offer, and how to administer the contract after award. In addition, the seminar will provide an overview of how to start and finish the process, find opportunities and give suggestions for marketing your schedule.

Contracting with the Army

New to the Government Contracting Seminar Series...Hear from our special guest speaker, the Senior Small Business Advocate for the Army Contracting Command (ACC), on how to market your business to the Army. Seminar topics include: overview of the Army Materiel Command (AMC); responsibilities of the ACC Small Business Office; process for becoming a ACC business partner; existing contract programs within the Army; and marketing strategies and techniques. Learn first-hand valuable survival tips, news you can use and lesson learned.

Bids & Proposals

This session will provide an overview and stimulate discussions on how to write an effective proposal in response to a government solicitation. The seminar will define and provide an understanding of the Request for Proposal (RFP), Invitation for Bid (IFB) and Request for Quotation (RFQ), as well as their differences. The seminar will discuss how to find opportunities, bid or no bid decisions, scope/statements of work, qualifications and evaluation criteria, why proposals lose and what to do if you win or lose.
