Six more distinguished alumni were inducted into the CBA Hall of Fame at a recent dinner attended by 200 guests. Induction into the program is the highest recognition given by the college. Inductees must be a graduate of the CBA and are selected based on their career achievements and their commitment to UCF, specifically the business school. "Hall of Fame inductees give back to the college by serving as mentors to our students and hiring our graduates," said Thomas L. Keon, dean of the college.Class of 2008 includes:

- Melanie B. Fernandez, '86 and '91, partner, Cross, Fernandez & Riley LLP
- Michael J. "Micky" Grindstaff, '78, partner, Shutts & Bowen LLP
- Alex Martins, '01, chief operating officer, Orlando Magic
- Mark L. Plaumann, '74 and '79, co-founder, Greyhawke Capital Advisors LLC
- John D. Vander Werf, '77, president and owner, Technapack, Inc.
