Cheer For Our GOLDen Knight!

Phil Dalhausser, '02, left, with partner Todd Rogers.

Be sure to cheer on CBA alum Phil Dalhausser, '02, in his quest to go for the gold at the Olympics in London. Dalhausser and his partner Todd Rogers won the gold medal in beach volleyball at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games and hope to repeat again. The men's beach volleyball tournament will take place between Saturday, July 28 and Thursday, August 9. A total of 24 doubles teams (48 men), representing a number of countries from around the world, will take part in the event. In 2009, Dalhausser was awarded the Michelle Akers Award at the Black and Gold Gala for bringing recognition to UCF on an international scope. The 6'9" athlete grew up in Daytona and did not start playing volleyball until his senior year in high school. While at UCF, he played on the club volleyball team.
