Refreshing browser pages
Ordinarily, if you wish to view a more recent version of a web page, pressing the Reload button will suffice. However, if you suspect that the reloaded version is not truly current, hold down the SHIFT key and then click Reload. This will force Netscape to download the page even though it thinks it is showing you the most recent version. To change your browser options to automatically reload the page you are viewing: Netscape -- This is in "Edit", "Network Preferences", "Cache", where you select "Verify Documents Every Time"; Internet explorer -- Go to Tools, the Internet Options, then under temporary Internet files Settings change it to every time you visit the page.
Page Refresh Problems
Joneboy,
I had the same problem with my desktop PC... my laptop was fine...
with a little troubleshooting here's how this works:
1. If you use Internet Explorer 6.0 go to TOOLS
2. Select INTERNET OPTIONS
3. On Temporary Internet Files, click DELETE FILES
4. Now, click SEETINGS
5. Under "check for new versions of stored pages" Make sure that you
either have checked any of the top 3 options. I have it set to
automatically which should be the default for most of you.
6. Now, go to http://www.bus.ucf.edu/leigh/ or
http://www.bus.ucf.edu/leigh/ism3011/ to retrieve your test.
This shuld work for you, if not, then try going to campus early in
the morning (before noon) if you want to submit for prelim grades.
Then play with your IE settings/options over the weekend.
Hope this helps,
Carlos
