B.S. math Millsaps College, M.S. computer science Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, MBA industrial management University of Cincinnati, Ph.D. quantitative analysis and information systems University of Cincinnati. Ten years full-time industry experience including five years with IBM. Co-author of 13 textbooks and numerous articles in journals including International Journal of Operations and Production Management, Omega, Informatica, Economics Letters, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, Information and Management, and Decision Support Systems. Past research in heuristics and data mining as applied to stock market forecasting; current and future research in open source enterprise systems. Teaching area is information systems analysis and design with emphasis on service-oriented and component-based architecture.
