1999:   Co-Principal Investigator. Exploring the Interface of Urban Decision Dynamics and Infrastructure Knowledge.  Funded by the National Science Foundation and the City of Houston. Involves the development of an enterprise model and decision support system for the City of Houston regarding decisions related to urban infrastructure such as roads, water supply and sewers.

 

1990:   Advisor to Group Technologies Corporation, Austin.  Evaluated features of group decision support system software.

 

1986:   Consultant to the Kellog Project, Texas Tech Health Science Center.  Designed a relational database for a nursing ward of Lubbock General Hospital.

 

1982:   Project Director.  Design of a Master Computer Systems Plan for the South Plains Association of Governments, Lubbock.  Included system design, and hardware and software selection

  

1981:   Consultant to DP Plus, Odessa. Software pricing and market analysis.

 

1980:   Consultant to MBFA Foundation, Lubbock.  Design and implementation of a computerized accounting system using data base techniques.

 

1978:   Co-Principal Investigator.  Project to Develop a Management Game for Teaching Management Information Systems.  Funded by Exxon Education Foundation.  Developed the SLIM DSS, used by approximately 20 universities.

 

1977:   Management Science Consultant to Planergy:  The Planning and Energy Group, Austin.  Responsible for calculating estimated energy savings for the Texas Energy Conservation Plan and for evaluating socio-economic impacts of the plan.

 

1975-1977:  Assistant Project Director.  Project to Develop an Automated Accounting and Management Information System for the Georgia Tech Engineering Experiment Station.  Responsible for design and installation of the system.

 

1972:   Resident Research Fellow, NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston.  Developed a mathematical model to analyze the impacts of modular, integrated utility systems on energy conservation and urban development.

 

1968-1972:  Database Analyst, MRI Systems Corp., Austin.  Developed and installed information systems for portfolio management and pension fund management using the System 2000 database package.
