I.                     Executive Summary: Briefly describe who you are (both the project members and the company you are working with), explain what you are doing (proposing), why you are doing it and how are you going to do it.

 

II.                   Situational Analysis: Brief Analysis of the company's existing business model.  In this section assess the threat and opportunities posed by the development of the Internet and e-commerce and present the company's strength and weaknesses in the World Wide Web.

 

III.                  Competitive Analysis: Assess the business key online competitors. Try to answer the following questions:       

·        What other companies in the same industry have online presence?

·        What do their sites offer?

·        How are they marketing their products/services?

·        Is their site effective or not?

 

IV.               Web Site Strategy: In this section, present the site mission and objectives.  Define the feel, look and functionality of the Web site.  List what improvements might be added in the future.

 

V.                 Web Site Marketing Strategy: Describe your target market. Present your competitive edge and how you are going to make it stand out online. 

·        How are going to capture your target market attention?

·        What measures are you taking to encourage them to return to your site?

·        How and where are you going to market your Web site?

·        What is your online customer service plan/strategy? 

 

VI.               Development Requirement: In this section describe the technologies/tools that you chose for developing the site.  (ASP, JAVA, FrontPage, DreamWeaver, FreeMerchant, Yahoo Store, etc…).  Describe how they work and why you chose them.

 

VII.        Privacy Policy: You must include a privacy policy on your site similar to to the sample policy at www.truste.com.  DO NOT PUT THIS IN YOUR PLAN, BUT INCLUDE A LINK TO IT ON YOUR SITE.
