If you are interested in hiring a UCF MBA student as an intern, please
complete Employer Contact
Form and the
Employer Agreement Form. Please duplicate the Employer contact form for as
many positions as you have available. Email the completed forms to
apittman@bus.ucf.edu or fax to: Alison
A. Pittman, Director OCPCM 407-823-0495.
The information you supply will be announced to the students. Interested
students will contact you directly to schedule an interview. If you would like
to have an information session before announcing your internship opportunity, or
if you would like to interview students on campus, please contact the Office for
Corporate Partnerships and Career Management.
Please note that a student DOES NOT have to receive college credit to be
employed as an intern. Some students want to continue the experience of their
internships even after they have completed the maximum number of internship
hours allowed for their MBA program. Others are limited by the desire to take
elective classes toward their MBA’s instead of internship credits, but still
want the practical experience. The UCF graduate program endorses and encourages
both credit and non-credit internships for our students
The following steps are necessary only if the student is electing to receive
credit for their internship experience.
- Once you have selected a student intern, the student will work with you
to complete a Learning
Agreement. This will serve as the basis for determining academic credit.
Please note that students MUST work for a total of 288 hours to receive 3
academic credits.
- You will be asked to complete a
Mid Term
Progress Report as well as a
Final
Progress Report for each student you employ as an intern. In addition, a
Weekly Time Sheet must
be completed for each student you employ.
- You will be asked to review the student’s final project for this
internship, and comment on it in the Final Progress Report. The student has
quite a bit of flexibility in the final project, and will discuss the report
with you. See the
Final Project Guidelines for details.
Feel free to contact the
Internship Director if you have any questions.
