Most MBA students in the 1-year cohort program have a strong sense of where
they want to be professionally in five or ten years. And, while they recognize
the significance of the MBA to making those professional goals a reality, many
students don’t know the many avenues they can take to reach their goals, and may
not have practical experiences to validate their academic proficiency.
- Internships enable you to better synthesize and practice with theory.
- Internships are extremely valuable personal marketing tools and
outstanding resume enhancers. They improve your professional credential by
providing work experience in your field of interest.
- Internships provide great networking both within the organization of the
internship and with contacts you meet as a result of the organizational
connections.
- Internships can provide work-related references for future employment.
- Internships give you some insight into various positions, organizations
and industries.
- With an internship, you can gain a greater appreciation for work
environments you like or dislike.
- Internships afford you the opportunity to experience the breadth and
depth of responsibilities various positions have.
If you are interested in completing an internship, for credit or not, please
contact the MBA internship director.
If you are not in the 1-year cohort MBA program, you must obtain approval for
your internship through the department of interest. The current department
