Joanne Clyburn

Mrs. Clyburn attended Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana and Xavier University at Cincinnati, Ohio.

Mrs. Clyburn has worked as a graphic artist, mortgage loan processor and medical conference coordinator.  She served as the Administrative Assistant to the Associate Dean for Continuing Medical Education at the College of Medicine, University of Cincinnati, from 1979 until moving to Florida in 1987.

Since joining the Dr. Phillips Institute staff as office manager in 1995, Mrs. Clyburn has devised and maintains several of the financial control and reporting systems of the Institute.

Andre Romero

Andre graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Engineering.  He is a currently enrolled in the M.B.A. program at the University of Central Florida.

Andre, as an undergraduate, worked as a consultant to the Ateneo School of Management, in conjunction with the Office of the Dean.  He also served as a Sales Information Systems intern at La Tondeña Distillers Incorporated. 

In May 2001, Andre joined the Dr. Phillips Institute staff as a Graduate Research Assistant.  He is also a writer for the UCF Future, and a volunteer at A Gift For Teaching.

Rodrigo Mello

Rodrigo graduated in Civil Engineering at Federal University of Minas Gerais, Minas Gerais, Brazil and is currently enrolled in the M.B.A. program at the University of Central Florida.

Rodrigo has worked as a construction manager at Melmor Construction Ltd. There he managed the construction of residential and commercial buildings, and participated in the product presentation process to national and multi-national companies. Also, he previously served as a Financial Advisor’s assistant at Morgan Stanley, Orlando.

In May 2001 Rodrigo joined the Dr. Phillips Institute staff as a Graduate Research Assistant

David Rankin

David graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.  He is currently enrolled in the M.B.A. program at the University of Central Florida.

As an undergraduate, David was selected to the Dean’s list in every semester and was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society.  David also was a team captain, as a pitcher, for the University of Central Florida Golden Knights Baseball Team, and a member of the U.S.A. Junior College Olympic Baseball Team.

David joined the staff at the Dr. Phillips Institute, as a Graduate Research Assistant, in July of 2001.  

Jason R. Spavin

Jason graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management of Information Systems.  He is a currently enrolled in the M.B.A. program at the University of Central Florida.

Jason, as an undergraduate, Studied International Business abroad at the University of Uppsala, Sweden. He also interned in the M.I.S. department at Toy’s R Us in Parmus, N.J.
