Call for Papers
Sixth Annual Conference of the
Southern Association for Information Systems (SAIS)

Savannah Marriott Riverfront

March 7 – March 8, 2003

The Southern Association for Information Systems (SAIS) is a regional chapter of the Americas Division of the Association for Information Systems (AIS). SAIS invites IS scholars and practitioners to contribute to and participate in its sixth annual conference which will be held March 7 – March 8, 2003 at the Marriott Riverfront in Savannah, Georgia’s charming, historic riverfront. Participation is not limited to those in the southern United States. SAIS 2002 drew submissions from academics in fifteen U.S. states and six other countries.

Consistent with the goals of the AIS Americas Conferences, the SAIS program is intended to be varied, where the only restriction is that submissions address organizational or technical research, practice, or pedagogy in information systems planning, design, development, management, acquisition, implementation, usage, or evaluation. Working papers, research in progress, and teaching cases may be submitted. Submissions by graduate students are especially encouraged, and the collegial atmosphere of the conference makes it ideal for graduate student presentations. The programs for SAIS 2001 and 2002 are available from the SAIS Web site (http://www.southernais.org).

All papers and proposals must be the original work of the authors. These will undergo a blind review process. Outstanding submissions will be considered for the SAIS 2003 Best Paper award. Accepted submissions will be eligible for publication in the SAIS 2003 Conference Proceedings. Authors of accepted papers must pre-register for the conference by January 15, 2003, to ensure publication in the Proceedings.
