|
In 1949, a group of prominent American Citizens recognized the need for a higher level of economic understanding and founded the National Council on Economic Education (NCEE). This independent, non-partisan, national organization is guided by a single principle: "Each citizen's ability to recognize and objectively analyze economic issues is essential to his own welfare and the national progress." |
| The Florida Council on Economic Education (FCEE) works closely with the Florida activities of the eight Florida centers located on state university system campuses, including the UCF Center. The UCF Center is funded by the University of Central Florida, the FCEE, and donations from business, foundations, and individuals. Together, the NCEE, fifty state councils, and over 250 university centers form a national economic education network. |
