Next Meeting

February 16th, 2009

Just to clarify, our next member meeting won't be until March 2nd. We will be having a tour next Monday, but it's restricted to only those who RSVPed. Sign up for the tour is now closed.

In other news, the registration form for the Desktop Publishing Workshops is availble on the Forms page. Please fill that out and turn it in to Joan McCain in COM 251 to secure your spot in the workshops.

Mailing List Sign Up & First Meeting

January 21th, 2009

Our first meeting of the Spring Semester will be next Monday, January 26th at 4:30pm in COM 115. We'll be going over our event calendar for this semester, accepting applications and dues, and providing you with any information you need.

Also, there seems to be some confusion with the newsletter signup at the top of the page. In order to add yourself to our mailing list, you must type in YOUR email address in the box and press the arrow. We're getting a lot of requests, but there are no email addresses in them.

Please send us an email if you have an additional questions!

Welcome Back!

January 7th, 2009

Another semester has gone by, but the Ad Club is only getting better. This semester we have a couple changes and improvements that we'll be making to the club. Hopefully you'll love each one.

First, we have decided to change our meeting day from Thursdays to Mondays. This is purely due to conflicting schedules of the club officers. We're sorry for the inconvenience! Second, we're also changing our meeting times to every other week. In order to preserve the quality of our meetings and not have so many cancellations, we decided to give ourselves more time to plan. This is also a plus to members. Now you won't have to commit yourselves to the meetings every week.

As for improvements, we are implementing a routine to our meetings. In the past, we didn't really have a set schedule for tours and speakers, but now we will. Starting this semester, we will have one guest speaker a month and one agency tour a month. They will alternate weeks and therefore giving members a little variety. Check out our Event Calendar for more details.

And of course, the club will have its First Annual Spring Break Trip this semester. We're going to New York City to tour agencies and get a feel for big city advertising life. Planning is turning out to be so much fun, and we can't wait to share the experience with all the members.

Thanks for your continued support with the club, and we're looking forward to seeing you all this semester!
